Who is Mısra ÜLGER?

The founder of Misra Ülger Psychology and Counseling Center, Psychological Counselor Mısra Ülger, was born in Ankara in 1998.

She completed her undergraduate education in the Guidance and Psychological Counseling department at Maltepe University, then strengthened her expertise by completing her master's degree at Yıldız Technical University.

Valuing her professional development since her university years, Ülger took her first steps in counseling by supporting new students through the Peer Mentorship program during their adaptation processes. This process was a turning point in strengthening her communication, leadership and guidance skills.

Starting to see clients under supervision during the pandemic, Ülger has been actively working with children, adolescents, adults, parents and elderly groups since then. Adopting an eclectic counseling approach, Ülger creates a unique roadmap for each individual's life story and needs. In her work with children, she brings a holistic perspective to evaluation processes with objective and projective test applications.

In 2021, she had the opportunity to experience different cultural and educational approaches during an exchange program in the USA. During this period when she received English language education at Santa Monica College, she became acquainted with the Waldorf approach in Los Angeles and gained experience on the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) system in New York. This process gave Ülger a deep perspective on alternative education models that support children's social-emotional development.

After returning to Turkey, she worked as both an administrator and psychological counselor in various kindergartens, as well as a guidance teacher at the primary school level, directly contributing to developmental processes from early childhood.

The Psychodrama Training she started in 2022 has been an important turning point in Ülger's professional practice. This training has contributed to her ability to understand her clients' inner worlds more deeply and support their awareness processes.

Continuing her professional development at the international level, Ülger is currently receiving analytical psychology and Jung-based trainings at C. G. Jung Institute Zürich (Switzerland). In addition, she has completed many trainings on child and parent work through the Institute of Child Psychology (Canada). The programs she has taken in this context include:

  • Introduction to Play Therapy
  • Understanding Childhood Trauma
  • Parenting with the Brain in Mind
  • Childhood Anxiety: Helping Children Heal

In addition to her professional orientations, she has interests in piano, yoga, writing, art, theater, painting and sports. These areas support both Ülger's personal development and her creativity in the counseling process.

Today, Mısra Ülger; displays an understanding based on ethical principles, empathy and trust in child, adolescent, adult, parent and elderly counseling processes; offering professional companionship to her clients on their life journeys.
